reduced to it simplest

Gun control at its heart is this:

Because Joe may abuse Item A, Steve is prohibited from owning Item A.

    culture war or hot war?

If so-called “assault weapons” are weapons of war which do not belong on America’s streets, then why do police have them? Who do the police intend to war with?

Said at this public forum in New York, at the end of this video clip…

I have a feeling the proponents of gun-control think they can just wave a magic wand of legislation, and the people will jump to obedience.

Yep. Gun control is punishing the innocent for the crimes of the guilty.

The proponents of gun control say it is a means of crime control. Yet the polling shows much more support for gun control than the number of people who think gun control will actually succeed in controlling crime. Because of that I believe the claims of crime control are just a sales pitch intended to fool the public into supporting gun control, and the real motive behind gun control is a leftist-puritan desire to control the culture of the nation.

The cosmopolitan set really hate the ‘bitter-clingers’ and think common ownership of weapons is ‘uncivilized’. Gun control is just part of the larger culture war in the English speaking world.

Gun control is not crime control. Gun control is culture control.
