A well made suggestion

So, my friend Bear suggested I try the Comfortgel mask for my CPAP therapy. After much heartache with Apria healthcare it arrived yesterday.

I molded the mask top my face and last night I slept wearing it. Man that is a comfortable mask. IT took very little pressure to achieve a good seal and I was able to sleep much more soundly than I had with either of my other tgwo masks.

Of course the real test is in the long run, but I have high hopes for this mask making my nights, and my sweetie-wife’s nights, more restful.

In other 1980 news I got my new wall decoration today. It is a reprint of the movie poster for Xanadu, reduced to 11 X 17 inches and transferred to canvass. It looks great.

Xanadu is a horribly flawed movie, but one close to my heart. If for no other reason than its core philosophy…

Oh, he was not what he had been, but when one is as good as he was, you’re still GREAT. His character – both acted and danced – were part of what made the movie for me.

Hey Bob, glad the mask is working out ok. May your sleep be deep and satisfying. 🙂

My understanding is the Mr. Kelley was most upset with the Producers because he had though that his contract stipulated he would NOT dance in the film. He felt he could no longer do it as well as he needed to.

I agree that Xanadu is horribly flawed (darn it!) but it is one of my favs. also. (I have no taste.) I think you have more issues with musicals than I do as I love the production numbers and I love seeing Gene Kelly dance! I think this was the last movie he danced in. His dancing is amazing! If you have never seen Brigadoon or An American in Paris or Singing in the Rain you are really missing something and you owe it to yourself to see those. Some of the best dancing on film ever – and beautifully filmed. MTV could learn a great deal from how those movies framed the dancers. Anyway, that is a big part of why I love Xanadu. They have wonderful production numbers! The end sequence – where they open the club – is a long, complicated work. I would love to know how many total hours of filming went into it. I’d also like to know what designer had his/her head up their butt when they put Olivia Newton John in the most unflattering thing she’s ever worn (the wet-look, slicked down number. Ewww.) Great news on the mask! If I ever need one – or if my husband does, I’l ask you for more details.
