And Hollywood would thinks it’s a good idea.

What’s really funny is that director James Cameron is being consulted because of his deep water experience.

Re. Cameron’s experience – cool!! I did not know this.

I still say they need to consult Harbor Branch too!!

After becoming enamored with the Titanic cameron not only made repeated dives to the wreck, producing a new documentary, but he and his brother have designed new underwater equipment for work at great depths. (though without a degree to my knowledge Cameron is quite the techie.) His new equipment made exploring the wreck of the Bismarck possible. Nearly all of the time between Titanic and that start of preproduction on Avatar Cameron has spent underwater.

So – solving the problem: the different caps have not worked. Have they tried using the deep water submersibles (similar to those ay Harbor Branch : http://www.fau.edu/hboi/ ) and applying a suitable substance to the edges of the break (Like a good under water epoxy, if such a thing exists) and to slowly build up those edges until they seal? It just seems to me that we need a really good cork. (What deep water experience does James Cameron have? If they want experts in deep water, they need to contact Harbor Branch!)
